It is the companion service item to the MMX Magnetic Oil Sump Drain Plug, which ships with its own set of five washers, and exists so that the plug can be reused indefinitely while the sealing washer is renewed at every oil change.

A sump plug washer is a wear item by design. It deforms as the plug is torqued down, filling the small irregularities between the plug face and the oil pan to form the seal. Once it has been crushed it will not seal to the same standard a second time, which is why a flattened or reused washer is one of the more common causes of a weeping drain plug. Replacing it during each service is the simplest way to avoid that.

Keeping a set on the shelf means the washer is never the reason an oil change gets delayed. Five washers cover five services, and the set fits any BMW sump drain plug using the same M12 x 1.5 thread, whether that is the MMX magnetic plug or the factory item it replaced.

Product Details

Set of five replacement sealing washers

For BMW oil sump drain plug applications with an M12 x 1.5 thread

Companion service item for the MMX Magnetic Oil Sump Drain Plug (MMR03-0504)

Deforms under torque to form a leak-free seal against the oil pan

Recommended for replacement at every oil service

Oil sump drain plug not included

MMX part number: MMR03-0511

Related Products

MMX Performance Magnetic Oil Sump Drain Plug - M12x1.5

MMX Performance BMW M22x1.5 Differential Plug O-Ring Set - 5 Pack

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0512/6114/5282/files/MMX-Performance-BMW-Oil-Drain-Plug-Crush-Washer-Set-Five-Pack.jpg?v=1791240981
