The Eventuri F56 MINI Cooper S Carbon Intake System is a complete high-performance induction upgrade engineered for the turbocharged 2.0L B48 engine found across the F5X MINI platform. Developed using Eventuri's complete-system approach, the intake combines a sealed carbon fiber filter housing, dedicated cold-air feed, and optimized MAF tube to increase airflow while controlling intake temperatures and maintaining factory drivability.
At the center of the system is Eventuri's patented carbon fiber Venturi filter housing. Rather than using a conventional cone filter with a basic heat shield, the housing creates a smooth transition from the filter into the intake tract to help reduce turbulence and maintain airflow velocity toward the turbocharger. The sealed architecture also isolates the filter from hot engine bay air, helping maintain a consistent supply of cooler, denser intake air.
A dedicated carbon fiber bonnet scoop works with the sealed housing to direct ambient air into the intake system. This approach increases the available cold-air supply while reducing heat soak, particularly during repeated acceleration and higher-load driving where underhood temperatures can rise significantly.
Eventuri also incorporates a CNC-machined MAF tube designed to maintain accurate sensor readings while providing a smooth airflow transition through the intake tract. Increased internal volume and reduced restriction allow the turbocharger to draw air more efficiently than through the factory intake system, supporting improved throttle response and measurable performance gains.
Eventuri reports gains of approximately 8-15 horsepower and 15-25 ft-lb of torque for the Cooper S, while Cooper JCW applications have demonstrated gains of approximately 15-27 horsepower and 20-26 ft-lb of torque. V-Box testing on the Cooper S also recorded a 0.6-second reduction in 60-130 mph acceleration time.
