Description
DEVELOPMENT & SOUND: The factory header design is a very simple, mass produced component not suited for performance. By creating a unique application for the 997.2 platform, we’ve focused on sizing the runners correctly and incorporated high quality spikes to smooth flow into the collectors to extract maximum power from the 3.8L engine while producing great gains from the 3.6L as well.
CONSTRUCTION: Each set is assembled in house in the USA out of mandrel bent, thick wall .065″” T304L stainless steel. Back purged TIG welding (with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas) ensures proper weld penetration and longevity. Water jet cut flanges are made to ISO 9001:2015 standards with tolerances of +/- 0.003 inches for extreme precision. We fabricate these headers using thick gauge aluminum fixtures which act as a great heat sink during the welding process and prevent warping not only of our products, but the fixtures themselves to ensure perfect fitment.
HJS CATALYSTS: The highest quality catalytic converters available, known for their industry leading flow and durability. They are efficient enough to meet strict EURO 4 emission standards while still allowing for an increase in flow – all without a check engine light. The HD design uses premium triple foil winding for maximum strength. The brazing stripe is an extra feature in the interest of durability – it prevents the core from moving or experiencing any damage from sustained high horsepower abuse. We use a large and appropriately sized catalyst to allow for maximum gains – no compromises here!
BOLT ON AND GO: Each set of catted headers is built and tested in a thick gauge aluminum fixture (which prevents warping) to ensure perfect fitment then foam packed to arrive in perfect condition. New high grade hardware is included for the header to exhaust flange. Thorough installation instructions are included in the box for a straightforward install that can be performed by most DIY enthusiasts.
